360-degree feedback instruments provide a way to systematically collect input about an individual's performance from a wide range stakeholders. These may include co-workers such as peers, direct reports, the manager and the manager’s peers, as well as people outside of the organisation – customers for example. The key benefit of collecting such data is that the individual gains a holistic view of how they are perceived rather than just relying on their own perceptions.
360-degree feedback assessments can be quite confronting, however, when the assessment and feedback process is conducted by a certified administrator, the development benefits for both the individual, and more broadly, the organisation, can be significant.
Through using a consistent 360-degree assessment reporting format, you can help organisations create a common leadership language and consistent feedback process at multiple levels through the company.
To lead effectively in our world of constant change, leaders need to adopt a broad approach, moving beyond “command and control” to incorporate what Malone calls a “coordinate and cultivate” approach.
Our work in leadership development has found that leaders who are unable to adapt, will not only limit their career but ultimately limit the success of their organisation. Identifying and building the leadership capabilities for this new era can be achieved by accurately evaluating leadership strengths and gaps and providing guidance based on proven and valid development strategies.
When developing executives and talent, a key goal is to close the competency gap between Actual Results and Desired Results. One method to help close that gap is to receive competency-based feedback from your direct manager, peers, employees and other stakeholders...360-degree or multi-rater feedback. Our work with our leadership development clients is greatly enhanced by applying the CCL 360-feedback assessments and facilitator resources.
Benchmarks® is an inexpensive and user-friendly tool for providing comprehensive feedback to people about their leadership strengths and opportunities for growth. I have seen it have a dramatic impact on individual and team performance as leaders increase both their own effectiveness and get more out of the people who work for and with them.

The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) 360-Degree Assessment Suite comprises 5 leading 360-degree feedback instruments, including:
You will find a summary of the audience and application for each instrument in the below table.
CCL 360-degree feedback assessments are what we call ‘Restricted’ instruments and you need to be trained and certified to access and use them. This ensures that the instruments are used for the purpose for which they were designed and that that they are being administered and interpreted correctly.
We offer the CCL Assessment Certification Workshop (ACW) that will qualify you in the professional and ethical administration of the CCL 360-Degree Assessment Suite and upon successful completion of the program, you will gain a certificate of qualification to purchase and use both the instruments and their reports.
The 2-day ACW supersedes the 1-day Benchmarks® / SKILLSCOPE® Certification Program. Those practitioners already certified to administer these instruments are invited to update and refresh their skills at this 2-day program, as well as attain certification in the additional instruments. Please contact us Team about upgrading your level of certification.
Public CCL ACW programs are currently available in Melbourne, Sydney and other cities upon request.
If you would like to discuss an in-house Certification Program for your organisation, please contact us .
